Pilates in Paradise Retreat — Koh Phangan, 21 to 28 November 2026

01 More than a Pilates retreat

Move, explore, slow down, and understand your body better.

Pilates in Paradise is more than a week of movement and island adventures. It’s a chance to reconnect with your body and learn how to move in a way that works for you.

Throughout the retreat, you’ll enjoy daily Pilates sessions alongside time one to one with our instructor. We’ll look at how you move, what feels good and what could use more attention.

You’ll leave feeling stronger and refreshed, and with a better understanding of your own body that stays with you long after the retreat.

And between sessions? Explore Koh Phangan, swim, paddle, eat, relax and enjoy island life.

A holiday for your mind. A reset for your body. Knowledge you can take home.

02 Your Pilates journey

Move with purpose. Build strength, improve mobility and deepen your Pilates practice through reformer, mat and personalised sessions.

03 Know your body

Go beyond the workout. A personal movement assessment and a one-to-one session with a BASI-certified instructor, so you leave knowing your own body better.

04 Move your way

Your retreat, your rhythm. Keep moving your way with access to indoor and outdoor training spaces throughout your stay.

Our teachers

The studio’s instructors teach both reformer and mat, and slip between English and Thai mid-sentence without noticing they have done it.

Nex

Mat & Reformer Pilates & Yoga Instructor

During the retreat, Em will help you do more than move. She’ll help you understand your body.

With 10 years of experience in movement and fitness, Em specialises in private and personalised Pilates, with a strong focus on understanding each individual body rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

Her approach begins with observing how you move, identifying areas that may need more attention, and creating exercises tailored to your body, goals and individual needs. Her professional experience includes physical assessments, injury recovery and pain management.

Em has also completed specialised Pilates training in pregnancy, back pain and scoliosis, bringing a deeper understanding of how Pilates can be adapted for different bodies and movement needs.

Precise movement. Thai warmth. Good energy. And just the right amount of challenge.

Born and raised in Thailand, Yui brings over 10 years of yoga teaching experience together with a deep understanding of movement, alignment and body awareness.

She’s known for her eye for detail. Form matters in Yui’s classes. Expect precise guidance, thoughtful corrections and movements that challenge you in all the right ways.

Her classes are strong, energetic and fun, balanced by her warm and friendly personality that makes everyone feel welcome.

Big energy. Big smiles. And a whole lot of “you can do it!”

Nex brings the kind of energy that makes you want to keep going. Her classes are fun, uplifting and full of encouragement, creating an atmosphere where you feel supported from start to finish.

She’s the instructor who reminds you “You’ve got this!” when it starts to burn. Always smiling, cheering you on and helping you find that little bit more in yourself.

Expect a class that feels energetic, challenging and genuinely fun, with plenty of positive energy along the way.

Is this retreat for you?

You don’t need to be a Pilates expert to belong here. Come as you are, just bring a willingness to move, explore and try something new.

This is your week if

  • You’re completely new to reformer Pilates. We’ll guide you from the beginning so you can feel comfortable and confident on the machine.
  • You already practise Pilates and want a week to deepen your movement, challenge yourself and understand your body better.
  • You’re an instructor yourself and would love the chance to switch roles, become the student and simply enjoy moving.
  • You’re travelling solo. Come on your own, share the experience and connect with people who love movement and island life too.
  • You’re working around a minor injury or movement limitation. Let us know before booking so our instructors can understand your needs and adapt where appropriate.

Probably not your week if

  • You’re pregnant. This particular retreat programme isn’t designed for pregnancy.
  • You prefer every hour to be fixed. We have a thoughtfully planned itinerary, but island life sometimes calls for a little flexibility.
  • You’re looking for Pilates classes only. This is a complete retreat experience, including accommodation, activities and time together on the island.
  • You’re looking for a teaching qualification. This is a retreat for movement, learning and experience, not a certification or teacher-training course.

Come as you are. Leave stronger, more connected and knowing your body a little better.

What stays with you

  • A body you understand better.
  • Movement you can keep.
  • A week you won’t forget.

Questions people actually ask

Beginner or experienced: will the level suit me?

Yes. Every class runs with individual spring settings, so beginners and experienced movers work side by side at their own load. Tell us your level at booking and your first class is set accordingly.

I am coming alone. Is that awkward?

It is the normal case. Everyone has their own suite, so there is no roommate lottery, and the suites face a shared lawn where people naturally meet.

I have an old injury. Can I still take part?

Usually yes. Tell us when you book so your instructor can adapt your week around it. We would rather know in advance than have you sit out on the day.

Is there a fixed daily timetable?

Deliberately not. The order shifts with weather, tide and how the group is doing, and you are free to skip anything, eat separately or take a day to yourself.

What about food: allergies, vegan, dietary needs?

Tell us at booking and we pass your requirements to the resort. The resort restaurant does healthy food, and the island is unusually good for restricted diets.

Do I need to rent a scooter?

No. The included transport covers every class and organised activity. A scooter only buys extra freedom for lunches and exploring on your own, at your own cost and risk.

What do I need to bring?

Sportswear, swimwear, comfortable shoes, a rain jacket, sun cream, insect repellent and a reusable water bottle. No special Pilates equipment, and grip socks are waiting for you on day one.

How hot is it in November?

Late November on Koh Phangan is warm and humid, with the rainy season tailing off. The studio is air-conditioned. Bring a rain jacket as well as swimwear; both get used.
